So, I'm in a 12 man head to head fantasy league. We have a live draft every year, and its a big pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow.
In any case, the league 'encourages trades', yet at the same time, there is no league voting on trades or vetos etc (its just set up on ESPN). So, here's what went down before the first matchup of the year:
The league manager traded Alex Gordon for Josh Hamilton. The guy who traded Hamilton away, starts Bill Hall at 3B, Edgar Renteria at SS (with JJ Hardy on the bench), has Trevor Hoffman starting--yes, while he's on the DL.
I, along with only ONE other member of this league called foul. To me, this is a BS trade--yes OF are a dime-a-dozen, but Hamilton will score 600+ points based on our format (ESPN projection is 605, but it'll probably be more than that), Alex Gordon is projected around 550 (which is utterly laughable in my opinion), and will probably score 400.
So, is this utter BS, or am I working myself up about nothing?
