Gwynn out of lineup again - roster move in the works?
From McCalvy:
"It's very interesting that he did not play at all in Wednesday's game against the D-backs. He's not in the lineup again today, and if Gwynn once again does not appear, it could be a very strong indication that some sort of roster move is in the works."

Roster move meaning what? With his options up, nobody should feel compelled to trade for him unless they are utterly convinced someone could snag him off waivers before they get the opportunity. Otherwise, those interested could always pursue him as a FA if he opts out right?
What ever the dealio, it should happen sooner rather than later with the season starting up.
PensBurgh penalty - Lavender - 2 minutes for hijynxing.
Sounds like he means a trade
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner

Thinks its TGJr was placed on waivers, since Melvin will announce something tomorrow, hence the two days it takes to clear waivers….

The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.
I wouldn't doubt he's already on waivers
As the Brew Beat blog eludes to, teams don’t have to announce to the public when a guy goes on waivers. He may already be there!
I agree with Kyguy922. Melvin is probably going to make the announcement tomorrow that Gwynn is the newest member of the San Diego Padres. Haha. We’ll see.
