Brewers 6, Phillies 1
LVP: Mike Cameron (-.046)*
Win Expectancy Graph
SBNation Coverage
Today, my friends, was a good day. I woke up sick at 1:30, and it was still a good day. About ten seconds before I turned on the TV, Prince Fielder had finally gotten the bases-loaded monkey off his back, doubling in three runs with two outs to break the game open.
After that, all eyes were on Dave Bush, who, rumor has it, was in the midst of throwing a no-hitter. Matt Stairs may have ended that bid with a solo homer juuuuuust off the right-field foul pole in the eighth inning, but our collective cap is off to you, Bushie (please get a new nickname). Hell of a game, and in the service of the Brewers' first series win, too.
*Okay, Bill Hall was technically the LVP, with a -.054 WPA, but I'm letting him off the hook because he made the best defensive play of the year to prolong Bush's no-no.

Gotta like a graph that looks like that.
Never out of control.
"Good Grief" ~ Charlie Brown
I’ve been miserably bored at work all morning and afternoon, and completely blew when this game was.
That said, if Bushy is going to be throwing near no-hit bids and we’re hitting more line drives off pitchers, maybe I should be oblivious more often. We do well in those games, always.
PensBurgh penalty - Lavender - 2 minutes for hijynxing.

Is Dave Bush Canadian?
He’s being interviewed on the WSSP postgame, and it kind of sounds like he’s got an accent.
He's from Pennsylvania, hey
His family was at the game today.

If the Phillies announcers are to be trusted...
they have season tickets right behind home plate, but moved to the family section for their son’s start.
good game, nice to see things come together

DVRed the game and just finished watching ...

Nope, and the Phillies broadcast looked about twice as good as the FSN one, also

Thanks, man
Love posting those clips on facebook so my out of state friends can watch some Brewer magic. Oh gee, I will be out of state soon… Brewer mania is about to become quite expensive.

Ryan Braun hammering the ball
It’s good to see the Hebrew Hammer back. 8 for 10 with 3 big home runs in the series.
