The Melky trade might actually look better given this news, since he’s the kind of placeholder we’re going to need next year. Look at Cameron’s production so far and say you’re glad we still have him, but he’s not signed for next year.

what are the odds the Brewers can outbid the Yankees on the open market? I doubt they go with Melky again if Cam’s available without trading anyone
