Kirbir's Pictures of the Week

Kirbir is a bit...indisposed on this, the morning of her 21st birthday. Since she probably doesn't feel like looking at computer screens today, I'm filling in for her. Happy birthday kirbir!

Ladies and gentlemen, Bill Hall does it all. Not only does he steal bases and force catchers to throw into center field, he also hits game-tying home runs!

Who says baseball isn't a contact sport? Mike Cameron ran headlong into Astros catcher Humberto Quintero during Friday night's contest, shaking both players up and slightly delaying the game. Quintero left with a strained right shoulder, but as you can see, he did his job and held onto the ball. Best of luck to him in his recovery.

Prince Fielder had a rough week. I know he went 7 for 20 with 2 home runs and seven RBI, but he also was hit three times. In this picture, Prince gets a bit too familiar with a Brad Lidge pitch.

Just before Prince was hit by the above pitch, Dave Bush gave up a home run to Matt Stairs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Of course, that was the first hit he gave up in the game. Rickie Weeks, in the background, sympathizes with Bush.

For all the talk about Manny Parra's struggles, maybe a simple change is all that's needed. Just lean forward a little, Manny!

All in all, it's been a good week to be a Brewers fan. With last night's wild win over the Astros, the Crew has won 5 of 6 and is now only one game under .500 for the season. Join us in the game thread later today as the Brewers go for the sweep in Houston!

All photos except for the last one come from Yahoo!'s Brewers gallery. The last one comes from the AP pictures provided to SBNation. They're all AP pics anyway, so whatever.

Hopefully Parra can turn it around today

Bust out the socks, and he’ll be good to go.

"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

He made it a habit this week, but I couldn’t quite find room for this one.

sigh
The Brewers went nearly the whole first month of the season with their closer, but they activated Trevor Hoffman after Saturday’s game

I believe you mean “without their closer” Gene Duffey.
where’s Adam McCalvy again?

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys!

Seems to be only complete sentence I can form right now

I'm agnostic on the shirt-untucking thing...

…but I think no matter where we fall on that issue, we can all agree that Ryan Braun looks like a total geek when partaking.

Also, cheese.

He pretty much always looks like a geek

And that’s part of why I like him :)

when I went to the Mets-Brewers game last week

I saw this family (mother/father + daughter in her 20s), and the two women were wearing blue hardy t-shirts. I asked them if they thought JJ was really that hot. Nah — it was all about Ryan Braun.

Also, cheese.

So you met the Hardys then?

"I didn't realize his velocity was that high," said Macha, noting that radar readings aren't flashed during exhibition games.
