who had the over

Gameday Premium is screwed up. Hardy loves to face the changeup, but hates to face the changeup. Does he have the little angel/devil baseballs on his shoulder during his ABs? We need to find out which one is winning the argument during JJs hot streaks, and kill the other one.

Funny story from Opening Day last year

This is how I know win expectancy is a flawed system.
Removing Suppan from the game should have upped the Crew’s WE at least 10%, even before Nelson hits.
"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."
I don't know
Taking Suppan out after 4 only increases the chance that Riske pitches.

Suppa(n) Bad
Boy am I ever glad Macha went with the veteran arm of Suppan for the opener. One of the young guys might’ve given up 6 runs in 4 innings! Oh, wait…
better than CC!
The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.
never mind
very similar- but lower expectations!
CC 4.1 IP- 6 ER, 0K, 5BB, 2WP
Suppan 4 IP- 6 ER, 1K, 1BB, 2HBP
The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.
Let's say Macha was right and the pressure would have gotten to YoGa today
That’s two bad outings we would have endured.
YoGa today and Suppan on Saturday.
Or Macha knew the forecast was going to be rain
he does have experience in the bay area, after all.
I’m in favor of the explanations that attribute supernatural powers to our new manager.

better than 2nd
the point of hitting 5th is a “second leadoff” after your #4 hits the grandslam afterall.
the hitter in the 2 hole shouldn’t get the leadoff hitter out in a gidp either.
so…we’re arguing for JJ 8th, but we saw how poorly he did hitting before the pitcher last year – he cannot handle it psychologically.

Hyatt
I’ve got a fantasy trade question for you but I’m not sure if it’s in this thread or the old one
Ah
I’m thinking about a trade which would involve me giving up Mike Cameron, Fausto Carmona, and Colby Rasmus (the other player is a big cards fan) and getting Curtis Granderson and Emilio Bonifacio in return. Mainly, I need more runs out of my outfield position, which is why I’m going for Granderson. I picked up Rasmus on waivers today because I knew this guy really wanted him, which is why he’s in the deal.
Do not make that trade.
Bonifacio is nothing.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
Granderson is worth it
I’m a big believer in Bonifacio, but a lot aren’t (see Kow). You know what you’ll get with Cam, and you are giving up waiver fodder in Rasmus and Carmona who had a fluke rookie year. I’d say absolutely do it.
I just sit back and root for the taser
I'm on Twitter now. www.twitter.com/Enrico_Palazzo_
Since you just plucked Rasmus off of waivers to make this deal
the way I would rationalize that is he doesn’t really even count. It’s really Cam/Carm for Granderson/Flavor of the week. I would agree with Hyatt that you do the deal. I would only add that you are getting the best player in Granderson of the whole deal, so that makes it easier to swallow. Granderson is like a top 5 (round) pick. Maybe top 50 player? (Guessing). You are turning 2 waivers and a late Cameron pick into an early pick. Do It!
Suppan, who has seen his ERA rise from 4.12 in his final year in St. Louis to 4.62 in 2007 and 4.96 last year, isn't an option in fantasy leagues - Rotoworld
