Derrick Turnbow released
Texas has cut ties with D-Bow. Now that he's a former Ranger, perhaps he'll be more attractive to Melvin. If only we could combine Turnbow and Swindle into one uber-pitcher, a man capable of alternating 95 mph heat with a 55 mph curveball.

I have Balco on the line
They say for a cool $12.5 million they will get right on it and have a prototype by opening day 2010. Who’s got some spare change lying around?
The question is going to be, whose control will this uber-pitcher have? Obviously Swindles would make the most sense, but I’m thinking Turnbow control could really make it interesting.
BCB, the preferred above replacement level sarcasm supplier.

What's so interesting about a 55MPH curveball that goes straight into the dirt everytime?
Heck, my 5-year-old, the Braunophile, can do that!

I would pay an exorbitant amount of money to see that.

on MLB 2k8
I made a pitcher with a 100 mph fastball and a 65 mph knuckleball. Hitters would swing at the knuckleball before it even got halfway to the plate.
So that’s what I think Derrick Swindle would be like.
Brewers Baseball and other assorted nonsense (mostly the assorted nonsense) at my blog, What's a Tararrel?
