Twins 6, Brewers 2
LVP: Braden Looper (-.204)
Bad scene again in Minnesota.
Anthony Swarzak tossed seven shutout innings in his big league debut, and Joe Mauer terrorized the Brewers. Ugly, dull, ugly game.

Well,

[(Brett Favre’s Influence + Common Sense) x (Population Growth – GDP + Gas Prices)]
Anyway, the answer to that carries a parabolic trajectory where we can’t hit and we eventually lose.

WOW
it really is all about math.
what are the units used for Brett Favre’s Influence?
"This one means 'Kill Kirk!!!!'... And also, 'hallelujah'... Depending on the context."

at least
we always have the fact that Little Big League < Mr. 3000 when it comes to crappy baseball movies
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."
And County Stadium was used for Major League.
Not so much an equation as a fact.

yes,
but that movie was about the indians, not the Brewers. Still

Little Big League is way better than Mr. 3000
Come on.
"I didn't realize his velocity was that high," said Macha, noting that radar readings aren't flashed during exhibition games.

Without Hardy in the lineup to counter him
the team was powerless against Mauer’s dreamy smile.
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
why do I even bother to attend these games?
my only conclusions from these last two nights:
Looper runs up the count far too often.
Counsell and McGehee aren’t working well together. McGehee may need to spend some quality time with Randolph and Counsell may be more hurting than he’s letting on. In any case, I hope Hardy gets better so they don’t end up with Escobar and McGehee up the middle.
I’m waiting for the ’pen guys to go and steal one of the mascot suits or the T-shirt gun.
At least Jorge Julio ate some innings.
Get swept?
With our recent performance history while on a major network, it seems like the writing is on the wall that we will get swept.
If it's any consolation
The Cubs lost their 6th straight and are but teetering on the precipice of sub-.500.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
My problem with that...
Is that the Cardinals are on a 5 – game win streak. I’m way more concerned about them than I am the Cubs.
That lineup
was painful. It seemed like Hall, Gerut, and Kendall were up every inning.
"He had some firsts," said Brewers manager Ken Macha. "His first homer, his first Major League start, his first error and my first gray hair."
Did we ever figure out why Hart didn't play?
Cards Announcers On Gamel's First Career HR, ""That’s all they need is another home run hitter".
Right hand bruise, per the official site
In other Brewers injury news, Macha gave Corey Hart a night off Saturday due to a right hand bruise located near the thumb that Hart sustained in the Houston series.
“We’re not going to have him take any BP,” Macha said. “Hopefully he gets some treatment and gets that hand back. Once you hit that one time, it kind of takes a while for it to get better.”
