My pitching has let me down completely

I hate Scott Baker and Placido Polanco with the fire of 1000 suns (almost as much as I hate Jason Kendall). Don’t get me started on Moneyball’s Joe Blanton. But my squad is full of RBI Machines!!! My entire roster of OF-ers is above 30 RBI (with the exception of McLouth who is at 29). Beltran and Adam Jones have been amazing, and Ryan Howard is waking up. If I can get my pitching to middle of the pack, I can get into the top 5

"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

Total opposite here Hyatt

My pitching has been very good so far – nobody on the team has an ERA over 4 or a WHIP over 1.44 Vazquez,King Felix,Bush and Lilly have all been good and the middle relief duo of Dotel and Cruz have combined for 35inns 30K’s 4 Wins and 2 Saves with an ERA of around 2.4 and a WHIP of 1.2.
The hitting has been alot less impressive in spite of leading the league in HR’s it is below average in RBI’s and a very low average. Hopefully Beltre can start hitting along with Theriot/Matsui and Izturis (basically my middle infielders part from Hill) and Synder is start to hit at catcher after an awful start (something like 2 for 30). Aaron Hill has been my best draft pick, already he has hit more HR’s (11) than I expected for the whole season with a .350 average to boot.
Hopefully I can get back to first but need the team to hit for a better average because it is hard to finish 1st with only getting decent scores in 9 Cats.

"Totals 3/18 1 0 2 0 .167 "

That line has defined my offense for the past two weeks. I had been as high as 7th or 8th due to a very power orientated offense that had a 8 HR lead. My offense has now decided to hide under a rock and my one SB threat I had on my team from the draft, Carlos Gomez sucked so bad that I cut him. I got lucky picking up Pedro Feliz off waivers as he has been doing rather well, and I was also able to pick up Gamel right when he was called up. Stolen bases and batting average have not been my friends and with my power numbers falling off, I have gone down a decline lately.

As for pitching I am mediocre. My K’s and wins have been doing well due to my rotating a couple pitching spots with free agents who are that days probably pitchers, though my ERA and WHIP have been suffering (probably as a consequence). Hoffman has been awesome but Kerry Wood has been god-awful and I am just waiting for Cleveland to take him out of the closers spot.

I’m always open to viewing trade offers, though I honestly don’t know what I’d give up or what I would take.

:) + Suppan = :'(

Ugh

I drafted Gomez hoping for some nice steals too. What a disappointment.

Shane Victorino

also quite the disappointment

Trades

I’m a total fiend for trading (where it makes sense) but it’s really hard to do here. It’s really hard to deal from depth, because there’s just no depth to go around.

That being said, I do have three rosterable 2B if anybody has a need…

It's amazing, really

I’m in five leagues this year. A 12 team roto, two 12 team H2Hs, a 10 team roto, and this 20 team beast.

My team in this league has the best pitching staff of any of my teams this season.

Verlander is going to be the reason that a lot of people win leagues this year, if he doesn’t implode.

I'm in 5 leagues this year

and its a lot. I’m surprised I’ve only given up on 1 of them so far(shockingly not the BCB league). We drafted in February, right before the A-Rod news came out. I took him 5th.

I don't hate Kendall like everybody else, I'm a non-conformist like that.

I am in need of saves....

And am willing to trade Matt Cain… any takers?

I was offered this mess in one of my important leagues today

I give up Michael Young

He gives up Ass Drool Cabrera and Jon Lester

I told him to kick rocks.

I don't hate Kendall like everybody else, I'm a non-conformist like that.

Did you decline

or counter it? Just curious, because I’m having this debate in another league…

1. To me, Young is a sell-high guy.
and 2. I think you should counter every offer at least once. See what you can work out to help your team, especially if it’s a guy you don’t mind trading…

IMO.

I'm in 1st place by quite a bit

I rarely counter-offer. Either hammer out the deal with me, or no-go on it.

No sense in messing with a 1st place team, especially in a Keeper

I don't hate Kendall like everybody else, I'm a non-conformist like that.

I can see that

especially with young having 3B eligibility now in that weak position. I’d see how high he’d be willing to go.
