Not something you'll read every day. Texas won this game in 25 innings.

Video game situation
On MLB the Show my RTTS closer had to pitch 9 innings in one game. Hopefully they gave Wood the game ball.
Obscure baseball records and more at my blog, Recondite Baseball.
so...
is his name Wood (as in Kerry) or Woods (as in Tiger)? or were there two pitchers with a similar last name?
They've changed it from "closer" to "reliever" now.
It did look a bit silly to speak of a 13 IP-throwing closer…
plus...he didn't finish the game
he also has 8 wins – does it mean he’s typically a starter who was just used in a relief situation in this game? or since college relievers are non-elite, is it fairly typical for a late rally against the opposition?

No, actually I did that
I’ll put a parentheses around it. He is their closer, though, from what I’ve read elsewhere, and I put it in like that to make it more dramatic :).
Scored three times and detonated an indisputable in four visits to the batting box.
Highest game score by a reliver?
Anyone know what the MLB or college record is?
Yeah – Dusty would have sent him out there for pitch #170… 169 pitches just sound like he only gave 90%

He's scheduled for Tommy John surgery Monday.
"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."
