I'll take it.
You never like to see a guy hurt, but it seems minor. It’ll help contribute to the eventually debilitating pressure Cubs fans will heap on the team again this year.

So the guy got hurt trying to make a play....
…. and some (far from all) Cubs fans at the other BCB promptly started ripping him for being so irresponsible as to try to bunt for a hit, busting his tail down the line in an effort to leg out the hit, and stretching awkwardly for the bag and straining his leg in the process..
I’m not a fan of Z, personally, but my mind boggles at the foolishness of that argument. Rip Soriano for hurting his leg while adding a needless hop to a catch of a routine fly ball, by all means. But ripping a guy for getting hurt while he’s trying to make a play is beyond foolish.

Bunt/Curse
A 250lb pitcher trying to bunt his way onto first is a lot like a 100 year curse.
The mechanics are there. You put everything together. You lay execute it perfectly and hit the ground full speed ahead. You’re going as hard as you possibly can, and you’ve built up so much momentum that it would be impossible to stop.
And after all that, the inevitable still catches up to you, and you lose so bad that it hurts.
And then you can’t play for a while.

And then the horns kicked in.
And my shoes started to squeak.
All of a sudden I’m standing on a beach
in some tropical part of the world
And there’s this sign that says
“Aren’t you supposed to be at work?”
Sort of screamed out at me.
Then I remembered.
I’d been here in other dreams.
Usually there was a water polo game.
And a girl who could talk with her eyes.
And she’d say “can you see what I’m saying?”
And the horns kicked in.
And my shoes started to squeak.
This is ponderous, man, really ponderous.
