I was thinking the same thing

you mean THE Stan Kyles?!?

"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

Has anyone been to one of these before?

I’ve got tickets to the Dodgers game on July 11th and my sister lives a short distance from the park where one of these is gonna be held on that day. How many autographs can one reasonably expect to get? Lately, I’ve been on kind of an autograph kick. This last weekend my girlfriend and I went up to the Twin Cities to visit her family and I got a Joe Mauer signed jersey.

Went to one each time last year.

Reasonably, if you aren’t looking for star players (Hardy/Hart/Fielder/Braun) you can get between 2 – 5. Depends on how fast the lines move. LAst year when they split the group, I was able to get 6 Autos at one signing. One word of advice, if you want to gaurentee an auto from a player. Get there at least 2 hours before it. If you are looking for a Hardy, probably get there no later then 7.

I tried to get Brauns auto, got there 3 hours ahead of time and the line was already 250 people long. So get there early… also Villy has probably the coolest sig on the team!

Yeah, about Braun

You probably want to get there three hours early.

In case anyone doesn’t know what happened to us last year… We were probably ten minutes or so away from kidnapping getting Braun’s autograph when the players had to leave. It sucked.

I feel for you.

I almost had that happen with Mauer. I was in line at 10am and he started signing at 1230pm. He signed until 2pm and I got to him at 158pm exactly. I was so lucky.

and they'll sign whatever you bring, right?

I’ve heard Braun won’t sign the sweet spot on a baseball. IDK if that’s true or not, though.

I’m gonna try to get my talking bobblehead signed if he comes to any of the future block parties.

I went to one

I don’t really care about autographs and I’m sure as hell not going to stand in a line for a long time to get one. The good part of the thing was having the ballplayers sitting there answering questions. The moderator didn’t do a very good job, but that might have just been that time.

Coffey

Coffey will be signing at the Falls Sentry between 11am – noon Friday 6/26. Guess I’ll be taking a long lunch.

is that

an appearance or just Coffey getting his eat on?

"He had some firsts," said Brewers manager Ken Macha. "His first homer, his first Major League start, his first error and my first gray hair."

He waited outside...

and sprinted a mile down Appleton Avenue, through the automatic doors, and went into beast mode. Actually, he was very nice and a cool guy.
