Game Thread #74: Giants (39-33) at Brewers (39-34)
This is corporal Pete. I don't know what happened to the officers. And this fanpost might be targeted by an enemy drone. All I know is there is a ballgame about to begin and we need to do battle. I do have good news for the troops. The enemy Giants won't be sending their warrior Lincecum against us, instead, it'll be a reserve soldier. We're going against the once great Zito tonight and he has shown some of his old moxy, but the boys should handle him. Let's go!

thanks for starting a game thread ol pete
I tried to do it a bit ago but realized I needed 75 words… and double spacing doesn’t count like it did in highschool

whew, we have a game thread

Schierholtz?
I guess he is filling in the role that the Tigers’ guy did who bounced around the minors – get more hits than I understand.

I don't know about Braun
…or McGehee, for that matter. He’s better at 3rd. McClung needs Counsell out there at 2nd.
Braun’s playing like he recently graduated from the Delmon Young School of Left Fielding.

How do I love that win:
Let me count the ways:
One, Fielder making a 0-4 game a 4-3 game
Two, McGehee ties on the next at bat
Three, Saddness befalls Hoffman when he comes without a save, but hope exists
Four, Crew rallies behind some nice hitting from Hart, Gamel
Five, The Prince is my hero

It sounds cliche
But you can never count this team out, they are streaky but their hot streaks are freakishly good, we all love it when the Crews plan comes together. Many times this season the team has come back from the jaws of defeat, far more often then they found to snatch a loss from the jaws of victory. Feel good wins are what we are used to, I can live with a little drama when we’re still on top
