Today over on John Sickels' SB Nation page, a Mock Draft was held. I represented the Milwaukee Brewers.
I posted polls every day this past week leading up to pick #26 to see who Brewer fans wanted selected (if available). The BCB Mock Dratt poll for pick #26 would have like to have seen the Brewers take Mike Minor, LHP, from Vanderbilt. Unfortunately, he had been taken with the 19th pick by the person representing the Cardinals. The runner up, Mike Trout, CF, Milleville (NJ) HS was gone as well. The next runner up after that was available with the first sandwich pick and I selected Rich Poythress, 1B, Georgia. I think I was able to closely emulate what the Brewers might do on Tuesday, and hopefully I represented the team well.
Here are the picks I selected:
First Round, pick #26: Andrew Oliver, LHP, Oklahoma State.
First Sandwich round, pick #39: Rich Poythress, 1B, Georgia.
First Sandwich round, pick #47: Sam Dyson, RHP, South Carolina.
Second round, pick #73: LeVon Washington, CF, Gainesville HS (FL).
Second round, pick #74: Chris Dwyer, LHP, Clemson.
Third round, pick #105: David Hale, RHP, Princeton.
