my guess is, at this point, pitchers are checking him at first base about four times for every pitch they throw.

I don’t have a database set up for that. It’s actually not ALL that impressive. It seems like somebody’s in the mid- to high-80s almost every day, and occasionally somebody hits the 90’s. (You can do that with a 7 or 8 IP shutout with double-digit K’s.) I’m guessing it isn’t in the top 100. I’ve only been tracking game scores for all of MiLB since 7/1, but 82 would’ve been best on only one of the last 9 days, and some days it would’ve been as low as 4th or 5th.
