Playing Reds and two things missing
1) Pre-game cleave
2) No Bill Hall in the lineup

Has Cameron batted 2nd in the order this season before today?
by Yar Nivek on Jul 17, 2009 6:19 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
i can't answer that directly, but
http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/teams/depth-chart/MIL has a listing of the most frequent lineups. So, cam doesn’t have more than 2 games at 2nd in the lineup.

I don't know why I'm watching Brewers Live
Coshun just said Ryan Braun hit his first career GS May 6 off Arroyo. There was an accompanying graphic, just in case we couldn’t hear the false info and needed to read it. How do you forget a walkoff grand slam?!?!

some days i wonder what it is that makes coshun a tv personality
"I'll be glad to have Ryan help if he wants to. I'll give him a badge and he can be my deputy."

is that for the lack of activity in the gamethread
or the game itself?

So far
we’re 1-1 on ground balls and 0-5 on balls hit in the air.

Telly's got himself a good lookin' woman, there
I’m impressed

Yahoo is confusing me.
It shows:
HPB – C Hart (by B Arroyo)
Never heard of HPB before :)

I wish I was seeing McGehee coming up with bases loaded right now
Goodluck none the less BattGam!

Ah, Prince IBB
That’s 12 now. And the RISP OBP goes up a bit more….
by Brew Angel on Jul 17, 2009 6:52 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
At least he swung at a strike.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Jul 17, 2009 6:54 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Somewhat surprised they didn't have him taking at 3-1.

same, according to gameday it looks like everything was pretty wild and wide.

Good he's learning to take that inside pitch though.
Pitch down the middle with bases loaded though, gotta do somethin with it
by Metagen on Jul 17, 2009 6:55 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Particularly since he's not exactly getting a ton of at bats.
Because Macha hates Gamel and apparently enjoys watching him sit around so much that the thought of sending him down to AAA where he could, actually get better and stuff, is just too much for him to take.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Jul 17, 2009 6:58 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
It's sad how much clearer mlb.tv is then the free MLBExtraInnings free preview
Sadder that the webcast is behind a batter so I get to see bases left loaded twice =(
by pharom on Jul 17, 2009 6:55 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Are they providing the HD feed on the free preview?
I’m an extra innings subscriber, and my HD feed looks just fine.
by Brew Angel on Jul 17, 2009 7:00 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
they are not, only one game in HD offered
which is the Giants/Pirates game
by pharom on Jul 17, 2009 7:03 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
There's your explanation then.
Seems kind of dumb, though, from a marketing perspective, in that I think you’d want to provide the best possible experience if your goal is to get people who are not subscribers to sign up….
by Brew Angel on Jul 17, 2009 7:05 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
that's strike 2, ump.

As I said yesterday, Blind retarded Buffalo
by Metagen on Jul 17, 2009 7:18 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
What'd you say about a buffalo? I wasn't in the thread yesterday.
by Yar Nivek on Jul 17, 2009 7:20 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Someone said Cam looked like a gazelle out there, "graceful"
And I said, 80% gazelle 20% blind retarded buffalo. more like 70/30 now
by Metagen on Jul 17, 2009 7:21 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
he's good, right up until the ball hits the ground
then things get intresting
by CheezeconQueso on Jul 17, 2009 7:22 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
I was the one who said he looked graceful
Everyone makes mistakes, but he saves a lot of runs with his glove

by BrewHaHeather on Jul 17, 2009 7:25 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
He saves some runs, sure. He makes some great catches.
But he’s still overrated
by Metagen on Jul 17, 2009 7:29 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
or maybe...
he just makes it look easy

it usually never shows up against Arroyo

If a player were to die
Does his salary come off the books?

6IP 3R I'll take that from Soup anyday
by CheezeconQueso on Jul 17, 2009 8:06 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I don't know why everyone freaks out about Suppan
He’s not great, and he’s getting overpaid…but I’ve seen far far worse. How about being a Giants fan watching Zito take the mound.
by Yar Nivek on Jul 17, 2009 8:24 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
ugh, great
now we have to worry about another Baun injury

Just imagine...
If he didn’t have to waste so much time practicing, working out, playing, etc. then he could truly be the deputy GM!

Cameron fails again
No reason to slide like that, costs a run and a chance for Fielder with 2 on. Way too many baserunning errors for a veteran.

by MadisonWino on Jul 17, 2009 8:24 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Was it my imagination
Or did Macha actually get a little worked up for a change?
And on an unrelated note…what’s with the shitty camera work? Do they have ringers working them in Cinci?
by bluejazz04 on Jul 17, 2009 8:26 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
That was underwhelming
Lots o’ run support there. Cameron failing a lot, Braun taken out in the middle of the game. Real winner all around. Ugh.
