Win Expectancy Graph
SB Nation Coverage
Yovani Gallardo just about won this game himself, by WPA and in the action on the field. Not only did he keep the Braves scoreless for 7 1/3 innings, allowing only four hits and four walks, but he drove in the game-winning run on a chopper over a bunt-expecting Chipper Jones in the fifth inning. An excuse-me swinging bunt by Craig Counsell drove in another run that inning to put the Crew up 2-0. Though he was out at first on the play, Counsell rapped out two other hits tonight to improve to 15 for 32 with four doubles and a homer in his last eight games.
In the eighth inning, Braves lefty Eric O'Flaherty struck out Prince Fielder before walking the bases loaded. Jason Kendall's fly to left was too short to score the run, but Casey McGehee, pinch-hitting for Todd Coffey, followed with a two-run single to left. Mitch Stetter pitched a perfect ninth to even the series at one.

Jason Kendall's fly to left was too short to score the run..
He was playing out seam softball. But glad Yo went deep into the game and we had minimal bullpen usage. Just need to see that for a couple more games!

but hey, UN. TUCK. EM.
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

Watching Buster O on ESPN...
Basically said we are not in the hunt for a front-line starter at all. He said we have to pretty much bank on Parra.

Yep, Bedard is probably injured

Considering the use of leverage in trying to trade people
that is a horribly timed article

any one wanna take a bet?
after a possibly motivating win the Brewers come out flat tomorrow and lose as a result of the offense to continue their losing streaks on day games and Sundays

nice day to be at the game
Brewers played near flawless ball today. Very nice to see them play up to their potential. Glad I picked today to go to one.
