Villanueva to start tomorrow
He'll go 3-4 innings and will be relieved by Dillard, according to Macha.

Why the hell not?
Carlos has proven that if he blows chunks in a role, he’s dramatically better when moved to a completely different one.
My sample size: last season.
In other words: dammit.

Yeah,
but I don’t see why they just have Dillard start and pitch a few innings (or until the hitters start figuring him out) and then bring in Carlos, since that’s what both of them are used to doing this year (not that Carlos has excelled out of the pen recently).
I figure why not
let him continue the regular pre-game routine, etc that has been so successful lately in AAA.

Villanueva’s a better hitter

tom H. twittered we had to go 8-1 over the next 9 games to stand a chance down the stretch
so…that’s the 1. what about the next time in the rotation?
Hoffman could be a starter right?
So that’s two…

Jeez
Just this morning he was talking about needing to go 5-2. He must be popping the ol’ Prince of Darkness pills left and right today.

nothing atypical about a "Johnny Wholestaff" spot start
The problem is when it’s supposed to be the semipermanent 5th man in the rotation.
This is probably an indicator that the Brewers are attempting to make a move before the trade deadline, but it’s not happening in time for whoever it is to get there by Tuesday night.
If it’s not…fly the “SOL” flag for the playoff chances.
Crap
Going to my first game since April tonight. I hoped for better than this.
At least it’s not Suppan.

Platooning starts from here on out?
I remember this kind of thing was discussed in the beginning of the year as an expereriment in AAA but can’t we just start some sort of combination of Suppan, Looper, Villy, Dillard and maybe even McClung when he gets off the DL. 4 innings each and then Trevor Time since our pitchers blow up anything past the 4th inning anyway.
Blow Cubs Blow! Blow Cubs Blow! Hey Milwaukee, what do you say? The Cubs are going to lose today.
