Anyone else have a bad feeling we might go into the all star break at .500?

Nah it's not that bad.
But we’ll see what Melvin and Macha decide on Tuesday. Might have a big impact on the second half

They'd have to go 0-6 to be under .500

But 2-4 to be "at .500".
I don’t want to be chicken little here or anything but 2-4 seems sort of possible.

Whoops.
Meant 1-5, which somehow seems a lot less likely than 2-4.

I wasn't looking at the right standings earlier anyway
I thought they were still five games over .500 after today’s loss.

the math is on our side :)
Assuming we’re a .512 team (that’s the current pythag) and that we’re playing neutral competition, the odds of 1-5 are 8.5%; 2-4 is 22.3%.
Also, cheese.

It's been mentioned before but I think it's important,
Brewers schedule after the break:
Reds
Pirates
Braves
Nationals
Padres
Dodgers
Astros
Padres
Astros
Pirates
Nationals
Reds
Pirates
Combined record right now 266-299 (.471) Take out the Dodgers and its 214-269 (.443)
That takes us through August
It is what it is.

this is good news IF there is always an if
If they play the way we know they can play and we do not run into a slew of AAA pitchers being called up to try out on some of these really bad teams. We all know what no name AAA pitchers do to us
But yes nice to know we are a game out without having played the Nats :)

Ugh
Bad day again. Big series coming up vs. the Cards. Perhaps we were banking runs for this series… right? RIGHT?!?

I think they win both series at home
They blew the chance to split on Friday but they usually find a way to lose in Chicago
But I think they will rebound and take two of 3 from both the Cards and Dodgers and head into the AS Break with a nice head of steam

So what now?
Last year the CC trade was done a week and a day before the AS game. That’d be tomorrow.
