He's also been fined for his "inappropriate actions" in last night's game.

So what would have happened if Macha got tossed while arguing Randolph getting tossed?

Do you forfeit or can the team just self manage? I’m sure that’s happened before, right?

I'm guessing any of Ed Sedar, Brad Fischer, Bill Castro or Stan Kyles still could have managed in a pinch.

Fischer managed in the minors last year. None of them might be great, but they’d all be better than a forfeit. I doubt there’s ever been a game where an entire coaching staff has been tossed, but now that I’ve said that, TheJay will probably stop by and tell me when it happened last.

But after them?

Deputy Braun!

Damn, I would pay to see that

I wonder if last year had Yost and Simmons got tossed in the same game (or Sveum and Yount at the end of the year) they would’ve just let Kapler be a player-manager for the game…

That would’ve been pretty cool.

Baseball probably would have allowed it

As long as Kapler promised to keep his shirt on.

Would it be Counsell? Cat? Bush—- he is the smartest of all the Brewers far and away

The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.

Mike Rivera

He’s not doing anything else, might as well get some use out of him.

But if Rivera got hurt managing, who would your backup catcher be?

The THwitter is gold again
Brewers bench coach Willie Randolph suspended 1 game for “inappropriate actions” toward umpire Bill Hohn last night. And Hohn goes free?

He just won’t let it go

"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

I guess we’ll never know if any action was taken against Hohn for his behavior during those episodes, which certainly was not exemplary.

I didn’t get to watch the game last night. What did Hohn do besides make some bad calls on check swings? Was it the ’stache? Please tell me the ’stache was involved…

It wasn't just that he made bad calls on check-swings ...

It’s that he refused to ask the first base ump for help on the check-swings — he made (or didn’t make) the call all by himself. And when the Brewers bench had the audacity to call him on it, he reacted by throwing people out of the game.

But the porn ‘stache didn’t help anything, I’m sure.

Hmmmmm...

So what exactly constitutes “inappropriate actions” in this case?

I only saw him questioning the check swing from the dugout, then he and Macha were trying to figure out who got tossed….
