In the sidebar it says Chris...
I really was hoping it wasn’t Smith.

I thought..
When Melvin called him up it was a, lets see what he’s got and if not he’s gone type of deal. I guess not.

farewell to the guy who people keep searching for on Flickr and ending up on my photostream.
I had no idea people really needed pictures of Chris Narveson that much.

Not really surprising
Hopefully this doesn’t mean Chris Smith is relegated to the “throw-50-pitches-in-a-blowout” role again.

Why Narveson?
To be fair to Narveson, they never put him in a situation to succeed. He was only brought in with runners on and the team getting waxed. Stetter is the ONLY lefty option from the ‘pen. I thought he should have stayed on. Smith definitely isn’t a better option and he is a righty

Yes
I believe you can DEFINITELY say that Smith is no better or worse than Narveson. Can you say that Smith is DEFINITELY better? No. Therefore, why not keep the lefty if neither player will be used in a meaningful situation? Not in a save situation, not in a close game, and not when the team has a lead of less than 4 runs. Am I the only one who sees this? I watch very closely, every game, and I never saw Narveson pitch poorly- not great either mind you, but not poorly either.

You’re funny battlekow. I like funny. Everyone enjoying the bullpen lately? WTF? Is it too early to start anticipating a 2010 division win with a healthy Weeks? We’re toast this year.

Wow.
I guess Ben Hendrickson’s Chris Narveson’s dad decided to stop by while I was on vacation…

Your use of
strikethrough to produce a humerous response is original. Where did you go on vacation? Deadspin book tour? Say hey to AJ for me.
/signs post with a clever phrase, you know, like in the comments sections of blogs
