There's the run support Yovani Gallardo was looking for!
After being shut out by Wandy Rodriguez on Sunday, the Brewers struck early and often to support their ace. Ryan Braun got the scoring started with a two run homer in the first. The Crew would eventually bat around in the first and score 8 runs. Also in the first, Felipe Lopez got his first home run, a three run shot, as a Brewer, and Jason Bourgeois got his first career RBI (and Mike Cameron made two outs). The Brewers added to their lead in the second inning on Ryan Braun's second homer of the game, in the fourth on Yovani Gallardo's RBI sac fly, and again in the seventh on Mike Cameron's RBI single.
Gallardo pitched well, only allowing three hits and striking out seven. He ran into some trouble in the sixth inning after allowing a leadoff hit and two walks to load the bases with no outs. The Astros would score two runs on two sac flies and Gallardo escpaed with no further damage. Todd Coffey, Claudio Vargas and Jesus Colome each pitched scoreless innings to close out the game.

I wish that Macha
would have the same response when he is filling out any lineup card that potentially involves Kendall.

Hey....
I thought blowouts were supposed to mean that the bullpen gets some rest. Coffey, Vargas and Colome all get an inning of work?
Gallardo was over 100 pitches by the end of the 6th

Welcome to Brewer Baseball!
Where the norm, isn’t….in 2009 anyway. At least tonight’s blowout was better than last night’s…after such a rough June, July and August so far, I’ll take a nine-run lead that they were able to hold!

For the Record, past three games...
Game 1: Get beat down badly.
Game 2: Just barely lose. Good pitching, but couldn’t score more than 2-3 runs.
Game 3: Just barely lose. Shooting match, 15-13 type scores.
Game 4: Win by a landslide.
Game 5: Win a squeeker (and that’s with 4 E’s), due to GRIT and a bullpen that manages to not implode that night, in spite of their best efforts. (Preferably leave the bases loaded in the last inning).
Next two games aren’t looking too good.
I call repeat of a previous positive outcome.
The offense stays hot and busts the trend.
No jinx.

is Cammy in or out of the line up
That makes a huge difference in which option you choose
