Nashville is only a half game up on Memphis for their division. Playing Heether at 3rd may give them the best chance to win. Besides, Gamel will be up shortly

I still don't think they care about Nashville's record

I just think the organization knows what Gamel can do at 3rd and getting Heether reps is more important now, because Gamel will be getting plenty of reps at the MLB level in September. That and getting Hardy reps. That doesn’t leave much room in the field.

But if that is seriously their line of thinking, it needs to die quickly. The only reason you have AAA is to develop players. But I think he just got a day off.
