Welcome to another YoGa loss. The hitting just wasn't where it needed to be tonight, an annoying trend whenever Gallardo ends up pitching. The Brewers even resorted to hitting Paul Maholm twice in the game when hitting his pitches, but nothing good came of it.
The Pirates dominated early in the game, with a 2-run homer in the second inning from Ronny Cedeno, his second of the series. They scored again in the third inning off a Delwyn Young double. The Brewers were lucky enough to score once, with a Mike Cameron double and a Ryan Braun RBI. David Weathers managed to pick up an error when he didn't catch a ball thrown to get a Pirate out at first base. All in all, you didn't miss anything if you didn't watch the game.

not only does it capture the lameness of the game, it also provides a temporary respite.

Instead of watching the pbp of the brewers losing tonight
I went to a short-season A-ball game (I didn’t know such a league existed until today!) and watch the home team (a pirates affiliate) lose to the visiting mets affiliate.
The shortstop for the home guys would have had 2 extra errors, except for the “you can’t assume the double play” rule. God, his hands were aweful. The whole team also struggled to hit the goddamed ball out of the infield.
Almost got me a souvenier, but I was a bit slow in putting the beer down and vaulting over the seat in front of me to make it to the aisle.
$3 tickets (which I didn’t pay for), two beers for $5 and a half-pint of milk and cookies for another $1. So, basically a $10 day for me.
Had a good time. Didn’t have a camera to bring though.

Couldn't hit the ball out of the infield?
But Bill Hall was traded to the Mariners, not the pirates or mets.

Beer with a milk chaser?
Remember the old line:
Milk before beer, never fear
Beer before milk, you’re an idiot.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
