they left, but to be fair my dad has to get up at 4:30

And that's why I didn't leave when the Pads were up by how many runs before Melvin Went Crazy.

My thoughts exactly
dickie_thon: Third baseman Bill Hall / Watches the third strike go by / Gamel grabs his glove
This is about the time when Dusty would normally start warming Aaron Harang...
"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."
Is Mark Prior still available?
Dusty didn’t get all his innings out of him yet
dickie_thon: Third baseman Bill Hall / Watches the third strike go by / Gamel grabs his glove
Why do you assume Dusty's not going to do that?
He’s had, what, two days to recover from surgery? Should be plenty of time.

Public Humiliation
I would just like to publicly apologize. I went with a group of 10 friends tonight, and we all left about the 7th inning. I didn’t realize this was still a game until literally 10 minutes ago. I called all of them, and they all had the same, “Bull***!” reaction when I told them to put the game on.
In my defense, I get up in about 5 hours for work, but that’s no excuse.
GO FREAKING BREWERS!

Reminds me of the Red Sox fans in Game 5 (6?) of the ALCS last year
They lost all credibility for being good fans when they were streaming out of the game, only for the Sox to come back from seven runs down and win the game.

Not saying you lose credibility
It’s much different leaving a late August game between two scrub teams and leaving a playoff game. One is forgiveable.

I stayed for the entire Padres game
when DM went nuts afterward. So I have sat through some truly awful baseball in my 20 game pack.
Still, you are right to call me out.
I don’t deserve baseball. In January I’ll be begging for it.

AdamMcCalvy Interesting ninth inning for 3B coach Brad Fischer. Untested arm in LF, Braun on the bases. I would have sent him, too.
Thanks for the warning.
Now I can skip the JS tomorrow.

Got under it, was a little too eager
dickie_thon: Third baseman Bill Hall / Watches the third strike go by / Gamel grabs his glove
as long as he doesn't bunt into a DP
like Brian Wilson did last night. (with Tim Lincecum heading to second, because he pinch ran for Molina.)
that would be incredibly difficult
leading off an inning

It feels like we've known about Lopez's injury for 20 minutes
yet McCalvy, in the press box, is still uninformed?

Granted, I'm only 1/2 paying attention to the radio, but I don't think they mentioned Lopez being injured, either.
