Pitching is like, what 90 percent mental? You have to KNOW you’re going to do good. So a game like this could only help the mental aspect.

It’s all on where the tying run is. If it’s on deck or closer to scoring than that, it’s a save situation. If the tying run isn’t on deck yet, it’s not a save situation.
Exception: When it’s a three-run game and the pitcher comes in at the start of the inning.
