How much longer does Brent Brewer have?
218 average with a 576 OPS on a 314 Babip at A+. He better be the next Ozzie Smith on defense with that offensive production.
Funny, I was just looking at Brewer's stats earlier, too.
He’s pretty much struggling at everything, hitting-wise…bad average (and as you mentioned, not for BABIP reasons), merely average-ish walk rate, strikes out in more than a quarter of his PAs, and has little power (ISO ~.100 last year, .070 this year) – there’s only so much you can blame on playing in Space Coast Stadium. And while I haven’t paid much attention lately, at least until the last off-season his defense was described as…inadequate is probably the most charitable term.
I see the Brewerfan Power 50 have dropped him into the 40s now…
Any chance they move him from SS?
From what I’ve read he’s terrible there, any chance they move him to the OF to see if it helps him out offensively?
