PrintSo, the winner of this matchup gets up to .500. Someone pitches against someone else and some of our relievers were used last night. Further, we're sending 8 guys plus a pitcher to bat against Coop's squad.

It’s a rough spot for the team, with Lopez, Hardy, Counsell, and McGehee, 4 players for 3 spots, with each making their case for more play time (though Hardy has certainly been streaky… as he’s proving right now)
I know Lopez is, not sure about CC but I think so

But it seems like the kind of usage an old ex-starter lefty like Darren Oliver (or someone barely hanging on, Glendon Rusch maybe?) would be subject to, not a younger guy like Wright.

Wesley Wright threw 61 pitches in relief. Relievers don’t do that very often, right?
Wrong. Wright’s 61 pitches were only the 46th longest outing by a reliever in 2009.
