See if you can guess which at-bat this was. Yes, that red dot on the right side (catcher's view) was the called strike. Only about 6 inches off the plate, so I guess that's not too bad or anything.

Meh. Par for the course.
I know its whiny, but the Brewers seem to have bad luck with umps that don’t have a consistent strike zone from one side of the inning to the other.
I don’t have a category for "washed-up guys who may or may not be dominant big-league closers sometime soon."

The Brewers let Astros pitching off the hook many times
But in the ninth with two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Braun was out on that called strike.

I know it doesn't matter,
but i’d love to see Cameron at bat in the 9th, and the walk prior to the HR.

Boy the Crew's opponents have been getting some zones
They were giving the Dodgers shoe lace strikes and in Houston yesterday and today they were giving the Astros low strikes and cam/braun outside.

Since this information is available a few hundred milliseconds after each pitch...
why aren’t balls and strikes determined this way? How much longer are we going to let umpires call an invisible strike zone for baseballs moving 80-90 mph, when automated systems exist that can do it quickly and reliably? I’m completely fed up with this garbage. No other major sport is this technologically backward.

As long as we have The Doctor on our side, I think we’ll be fine.

Because umpire mistakes are part of the game!

Shouldn't the dot in the picture be about two-three times bigger?
To match the diameter of the ball, I mean.

No
The strike zone was just that big.

That's a brooks baseball graph, I didn't make it
It’s just a dot on the coordinates of where the pitch passed.

I know you didn't make it
But I think they should really make some graphs that have accurately-sized location dots (or circles, whatever), especially if they are going to be used to debate accuracy of ball and strike calls.
