The BCB Fantasy Football League Week 1 Recap

While the Brewers battle for 3rd, I figure now is the time (though late) to give a recap of last week's action:

Cutler's Insulin Supply 165.95 - Mark's Filthy Sanchez 69.65

The Supply's Tony Romo led his squad with 353 yards passing and 3 TDs good for 43.85 points over the Sanchezs.  Tim Hightower came through with a surprising 12 catches for 121 yards leading the rest of the squad, which got good performances from 1st round pick Frank Gore, and TE Zach Miller.  The Sanchezs had every player with the exception of Donovan McNabb underperform their expectations, and McNabb missed a lot of his game with a broken rib (FUCKING CHEAP ASS HIT!!!).  Anthony Gonzalez took a good one minute before injuring himself for 1/2 the season.  The biggest disappointment was Matt Forte, who didn't catch a single pass out of the backfield, and rushed for only 55 yards.  Greg Olsen also shat the bed (it's what I get for drafting Bears) with just 1 catch for 8 yards.  Needless to say, I drank a lot on Tuesday to get over it.

Talib Fractured His Cox 175.20 - Let Me See Your TDs 99.85

The Cox started off strong with Santonio on Thursday night with 33.10 points and finished even stronger with a Brady-Moss connection on Monday night combining for 69.9 points together to earn Team of the Week honors.  Kevin Smith and Jeremy "The Asswich" Shockey also contributed to his domination.  LMSYTDs got a good performance out of Ray Rice, and Antonio Gates as well as the Giants D held their own, but Carson Palmer was god awful against the DENVER Defense, who are the definition of GOD AWFUL (yes, all caps are necessary).  LMSYTDs also is looking for some receivers at the moment.

Ku Klux Kla Matthews 158.1 - My Dog Wants a Vick Jersey 147.1

The Klaes got through a tough test on the arm of Drew Brees as the Jerseys could not find acceptable substitutes for the suspended Marshawn Lynch and the not even in the NFL Michael Crabtree despite an amazing performance by the Eagles defense in this week's closest contest.  Thomas Jones and the Pittsburgh D also contributed to the victory.  A rookie fantasy mistake, you hate to see it.

Romo Sucks Donkeys 159.2 - Big Ben Roethlisraper 85.8

The Donkeys and the first overall pick AP ran all over the Rapers and Browns, respectively.  Good support came from the Green Bay D, Leon Washington, Roy E Williams, and Darren Sproles.  The rapers were done in not just by DNA, but by a classis mistake of starting 2 WR from one team.  Just a poor choice on his part.  Poor performances from the Ravens D, and Brandon Jacobs didn't help matters, as only Bryan Westbrook and Dustin Keller produced well.

Chmura's Hot Tub Club 143.15 - Steve Dirt McNair 111.25

The Club stared into the abyss that is the Dirt, and prevailed despite a terrible performance from their QB Jay Cuntler.  His gaping vag of a performance, which had earlier sunk the Sanchezs (that son of a whore) was almost too much for any team associated with his suckitude to contend with.  But strong performances from Greg Jennings, the Minnesota D, and Fred Jackson, as well as solid outings from Deangelo Williams and Jason Witten allowed the club to overcome Cutler's Sulkitude.  The Dirt had issues getting going early as both Chris Johnson and Lendale White produced little on Thursday night.  The rest of the squad performed as expected, but the donut from Joey Galloway monday night sealed the Dirt's fate. (authors note.  I do not like Jay Cutler, and put a bounty of $20 on his emo bang having knees)

Plaxie's Got a Gun 156.30 - Favre on the Vics 71.1

All Plaxie needed was strong performances from Reggie Wayne, Hines Ward, and Cedric Benson to out perform the entire Favre squad this week.  Double digit performances for Plaxie also came from Kurt Warner, Mike Bell, and the Chargers D.  Plaxie got nothing from the injured Pierre Thomas and Kevin Walter.  Only Tony Gonzalez and Jerricho Cotchery scored more than 10 for the Favre.

RashaanSalaamAlaykum 159.75 - Hide Your Beagle Vick's an Eagle 122.60

Rashaan's Beavis avatar lead his squad of MJD and Julius Jones to victory over valiant efforts of John Carlson and the Giants D.  Sadly, no one else really stepped up to help the Beagles out.  Hasselback and Cooley helped bring Rashaan over the top.

Another slate of games start up in about 24 hours.  Good luck.  This week we have:

So because they are from the same city,

you don’t like them, even though they are from different sports. I don’t see the logic, could you explain?

S-St. Louis, R-Rams, D-Dallas, M-Mavericks, A-Arizona, D-Diamondbacks.

Sure.

Here it is (at least for me):

Does the team hail from Wisconsin?

If no, dislike or hate at your discretion.

If yes, go on:

Is it a professional basketball franchise?

If no, like or love the team at your discretion.

If yes, be disinterested at best, because the NBA sucks.
