Here's a list of the top 5 Run Scored seasons for Brewer minor leaguers over the last 10 years:

103 - Jim Rushford, 2001 (High Desert 68/Huntsville 35)
101 - Steve Scarborough, 2001 (High Desert)
99 - Mat Gamel, 2008 (Huntsville 96/Nashville 3)
94 - Brad Nelson, 2002 (Beloit 70/High Desert 24)
94 - Darren Ford, 2007 (West Virginia 48/Brevard County 46)


* - Escobar also scored 2 runs for Milwaukee that season

A little more about the leader, Jim Rushford

 

Jim Rushford

Drafted:                                  Undrafted
How Acquired:                      Signed as an undrafted free agent from independent leagues
Years with Brewers:              3, before becoming a free agent after the 2002 season.  Signed by the Rangers.
Best Season:                          2001 - Hit .354/.438/.594 with 103 R, 91 RBI and 21 HR between A and AA
Last Professional Season:  Rushford played 6 games in teh Mexican League in 2008.  He spent 2007 with the Phillies AAA team hitting .266/.324/.339 in 413 AB.
Major League Stats:             Hit .143/.214/.208 with 1 HR for the 2002 Brewers.  Started four games in a row as the #3 hitter in mid-September.
Other Notes of Interset:        Hit his only major league HR off another former Brewer, Rick Helling.  box

Rushford took a Jim Morriseque trip to the majors, playing in the independent leagues, then retiring, then coming back to the independent leagues prior to signing with the Brewers.  USA Today ran an article on him after the 2001 season.
