Out of honest curiosity
Do folks believe that Zach Braddock has a better shot at making a significant impact at the major league level than does Angel Salome? Regardless of team?
"If we want to sign a Type A free agent, we would lose a second-round pick, but we don't have a way to get picks back. Our whole Draft process needs to be redone."
~Doug Melvin
Wow
Thats a pretty good question.
As of right now, I dont think either of them is the type of player that is going to make a significant impact at the major league level.
I think Braddock has the chance to be a better major leaguer, but not one that makes a huge impact. I have never been a big fan of Salome due to his size and absolute lack of speed.
I went for Odirizzi in this spot, but it looks like Braddock will fall here in the blog list, but looking at the choices available. He might not even fall in my top 10. #9 at most with a flip flop along with Salome at #10.
I don't think either will make a significant, Braun-like impact
But I do think Braddock could make an impact on the club. Very good relievers are always a nice comodity. Maybe even a closer one day.

I have no problem with Braddock winning here
But I hope people will give a second look to Peralta going forward: Very good numbers for Wisconsin last year, younger than many pitchers that are behind him in the organization.
That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.
