In the Dominican Republic: Carlos Gomez went 0-for-3 on Saturday in Escogido's 3-2 loss to Cibao. Yesterday, he entered the game as a pinch runner/defensive replacement in Escogido's 5-4 win.

After splitting this weekend's games, Escogido and Cibao are tied 3-3 in their best of nine DWL championship series. Gomez is hitting just .091 through the first six games.

In Puerto Rico: Martin Maldonado went 0-for-2 on Saturday in Mayaguez's 3-2 loss in game one of a doubleheader.

Arecibo won both games of the doubleheader to even the series at 3-3, but Mayaguez won game seven to advance to the PWL Championship series.
