Hart
Now, I know a lot of fans are frustrated with Hart, sparking from his comments towards the end of 2008. That frustration has continued with his lack of plate discipline, but I don’t think there’s a very large sect of fans that blatently dislike him. I think most fans are rooting for him to return to his all-star form.

I try to use the adjective "frustrated"
Sometimes I’m lazy and say I dislike the man, but I really feel more like what you’re describing. He started off the 2009 campaign laying off the balls down and away and had a zillion walks and was hitting for average, too. It looked like he might’ve turned the corner and having him walking and hitting .280 or whatever for the season would’ve been huge. Then he started falling into the bad habits and disappointed over the course of the season.
If he can find whatever he found to begin 2010, he’ll be a fan favorite by June (and will be prime trade bait…. cough).
Statements like this
Make me think it won’t work out with Hart in Milwaukee. It’s too bad because if he thinks fans don’t like him here he should try putting up the same numbers in Philly or New York. Then he’ll discover the true meaning of hatred.

Link's busted
but I know how to get to that accursed blog.
I don’t like Corey Hart. At all. But I don’t think I’m anywhere near in the majority.

fixed.
Instead of pasting the link between the html brackets already provided, I just provided the link the same way I would in comments. Wrote Corey Hart, highlighted it, and clicked the link icon.

I was explaining it for a reason.

I was wondering who to make this years Cammy
I think Hart might be first in line for my endless rage this season ;) lol
Moving on ready look forward not backwards The 2009 season is over it never happen as far as I am concerned so lets boldly look forward to the 2010 season
He's just not really all that clever, is he?
It would have been so easy to say something like:
“I know I’ve said some things in the past that made the fans upset and I know everyone’s frustrated with the way I played last season. I’m frustrated too. But the last few months I’ve been in a conditioning program that I’ve never done before. I’m in better shape than I ever have been, I’m working harder than I have before during the offseason, and I’m really hoping to get back to being the player I was in the first half of 2008.”
The funny thing is, from what I’ve read, it does look like he’s worked harder this offseason than he has in the past. But instead of talking about that and his optimism for the new year, he talks about his arbitration case (which he could have no commented fairly easily) and says that he knows a lot of fans don’t like him, and that he thinks a lot of fans (apparently the quiet ones) still do like like him.
Here’s the deal, Corey: you don’t have to be a genius. You don’t have to be charsimatic. You don’t even have to be likeable. Just produce. And if you don’t, find out why and find a way to maximize your abilities instead of talking like taking a walk impugns your manhood. Then we won’t give a damn when you rip the fans for getting drowned out by Cubs fans in Miller Park, or about your next idiotic tatoos, or your goat-boy beard, or your ingratitude when you get voted into the all-star game by the fans who “don’t like you.” Play well, and we’ll forget all that. Play like you have been the last year and a half, and the most noticeable thing about you is that you’re a huge tool.

I understand you don’t like the guy, but are the personal attacks really necessary? He made one comment two seasons ago that wasn’t even that egregious, and in the mean time has been worth about $23 million surplus value over what he’s been paid across the last four seasons…

No they're probably not necessary.
But I enjoyed writing them. My intended point was that Hart frequently appears to be thinking about things it doesn’t appear to be helpful for him to think about based on the quotes he offers, and I’m not just referring to the Cubs-fans-in-Miller-Park quote either, if that’s what you think.
Sorry if I offended, as that wasn’t my intent. I’m not really sure why, on a site where some players are routinely mocked for various aspects of their appearance and personalities, you saw the comments above as all that egregious, but whether I get it completely or not probably doesn’t matter. I seem to be falling out of step with behavioral norms on a site where backtocali gets a link on what is equivalent of the front page of the paper, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised someone took offense. I’m not really sorry I wrote it. I am sorry it offended, and I’ll admit that if I would have guessed that the primary reaction to comments were displeasure I probably would have opted not write it at all.
Hope that’s enough of an apology for you because that’s as good as I can do. Anything beyond that would be a lie…
