Wow

First, I’m pretty outraged that Brett Lawrie beat out Mat Gamel for NUMBER TWO! Behind a guy who was ranked the organization’s best prospect…but he’s actually a major leaguer.

Second, the fact that LuCroy has as many votes at this point as he does, is just absurd.

Normally I think the folks that come to this site are quite well-informed and savvy fans who really know what they’re talking about. In my personal opinion, voting Brett Lawrie #2 over Mat Gamel runs counter to that.

I had Gamel #2 as well

simply because Lawrie hasnt proven himself above A ball yet. Definitely a high ceiling but without a little bit of seasoning against advanced pitching definitely shouldnt be ranked above Gamel. I really hope Gamel doesnt start the year in AAA this year, but he does need regular at bats, and without moving McGehee, there really isnt anywhere for thim to get those at bats. He really got a raw deal last year while up in the majors, imo.

I completely agree

Are you eventually going to get over the Escobar thing?

Cause I’d rather not still be discussing it in the comments section of vote #12.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

Sorry its so irritating for you

I will pack it away never to be mentioned again.

Yeah, what an ignorant bunch of mouth-breathers

A catcher who can handle the position defensively putting up an 800 OPS in AA as a 23 YO grow on trees. Every team in baseball has 2 or 3 of those just hanging around, waiting for their turn in the bigs. It’s why the catcher position has some of the best offensive production in MLB.

And big bat, questionable glove prospects are such a rarity I’m shocked the Brewers have three of them in the upper levels of their system.

I understand you point

But I disagree with it. I also prefer NOT to have you stuff hyperbole down my throat. I certainly said that my opinion was that the voters got it wrong. Your opinion differs. Awesome.

You speak of stuffing hyperbole down your throat

Yet you talk about being outraged over an vote between the #2 and #3 best prospect in a baseball organization on a fan blog. Outrage is a bit of an overreaction, don’t you think?

It's ok, because he was so polite

I mean, at least he didn’t come right out and call people idiots. He gave himself plausible deniability and only hinted at it.
