*Sigh* Not the best way to end the season. Another game with solid starting pitching and little offense. The Brewers got their only two runs on a 2-RBI double from Corey Hart in the third. Also, in one of the more peculiar decisions of the season, Corey Hart tried to steal home in the seventh inning, and failed.
Randy Wolf pitched 7 solid innings, allowing 2 runs in the first and a solo homer to Jay Bruce in the fourth, which ended up being the difference in the game.
Final record: 77-85.
Only 5 months and 27 days until the next games that actually means something to this team.

When do pitchers and catchers report?
Too close for missiles, I’m switching to Ueck.
Why are the Lions TERRIBLE every year. I think they've lost 20 straight games in Wisconsin, that's Pirates-esque

imagine a question mark in that question
Too close for missiles, I’m switching to Ueck.
Thanks BCB
Not the best season for the Brewers but it was fun to follow it with all of you.

My opening day preditions for the 2010 season:
NL West: Rockies (this was a tough one to pick, understandly why)
NL Cent: Cards (Thought they’d win over 100)
NL East: Phillies
WC: Brewers (I was so optimistic)
AL West: Mariners (boy, was I wrong)
AL Cent: Twins
AL East: Yankees
WC: Red Sox

Mine...
If I remember correctly were pretty much exactly the same as Drew C’s except I didn’t have Brewers for the wild card.
I remember feeling that I was being pretty pessimistic at the start of the season thinking we’d finish with around 79 or 80 wins. Although that shows what a disappointing year we’ve had its been fun hanging out here for another year and, at very least, we’re one season closer to that World Series win than we were 12 months ago…
"I hope your name is Rick"
there's still some optimism
the Brewers have some good trading chips and some good pitching prospects coming into the majors in a couple of years. Rogers seems to have a good upside and Jeffress can be a dominating reliever. If Odorizzi is truly as good as we think he is, then he could be a great pitcher. Thornburg is an interesting prospect. he can strike out a ton but his walk numbers are a concern. Heckathorn will be a decent pitcher, Wolf will probably have similar numbers to this season(which is a good news, actually). Also there are some good pitchers in the upcoming drafts so the Brewers might get a good pitcher so long as there isn’t any complications(failed physical, illness, injury, etc.). IMO there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Brewers

Hell
Drew B, tcyoung and myself only picked them for one season. If I remember your predictions you had them winning the World Series for the next four years, the Super Bowl in 2012 and the next 37 consecutive sausage races…
"I hope your name is Rick"
And anyway...
I only tipped the Mariners because a team that was so stacked with talent it was able to let Manyan go pre-season had to be on-course for a big year…
"I hope your name is Rick"
plus they had Cliff Lee along with Felix Hernandez
and it seemed that Erik Bedard was gonna come back in the season. So the Mariners were supposed to have the best 1-2-3 in baseball

Yeah. I thought
The Mariners made some really good moves and I thought they’d be much, and I stress much, better.

I was kinda kidding.
I had picked them to win the World Series at the beginning of the year.
I also picked the Dodgers in the west.
yeah, he picked them for the World Series on a radio show, and we all made fun of him for it.
We didn’t let him know that we picked them in the playoffs. Now’s his chance for revenge

I really flipped-flopped
For a few weeks between the Giants and Rockies…. Padres were, of course, a shocker. I live close toTulsa, so I watch a lot of Drillers games (AA affiliate of the Rocks).

Watching the Giants-Padres game on MLB Network
Giants are up by 2 and the crowd is so excited, the announcers are so excited. That brings me back to the good ’ol days in 2008, where every pitched was both exciting and nervewracking.
My goodness.
I'm watching it too
and reading Gaslamp Ball while I do so. Certainly makes me appreciate BCB a hell of a lot more…

Truth
Nothing makes me appreciate BCB more than hanging out at other blogs
Too close for missiles, I’m switching to Ueck.
no kidding
look at my profile. I’m a member of quite a few SBN blogs. Note where I’ve managed to comment that isn’t here. That should be your indication of how, um, not-here other blogs are.
Hey lets hear it for your 3rd place and finished above the Cubs 2010 Brewers
Man that is sad on so many levels
See you all come winter meetings
"It's a joke. It's all a joke.
Right now
I’m very glad I get MLB Network. This Giants-Pardes game is very entertaining and I’d never be able to watch it otherwise. Now if only the Padres were winning.
My goodness.
