Daydreaming?
Imagining his .260 batting average next year that makes him an elite player.
Any thoughts on whether he’ll be clamoring for a trade next year as his ceiling for the Brewers over the next 3 years is 4th outfielder? Probably no more than 40 starts split between all outfield positions, right? I can’t believe he’ll be remotely content with that role.

I think he'll start more than that.
Not that he should, but he will.
Now that's great tasting chicken!
Even a manager that likes to run
has to notice the sub .300 onbase percentage. Roenicke (we really need to agree on a nickname) is supposed to be a pretty cerebral guy, right?

I guess it depends on team makeup, etc
But if I had to guess the 2011 roster now, I’d assume Braun and Hart in everyday roles, Cain in a primary role (maybe 100 starts), Gomez getting the rest of the playing time in center and a pinch hitter/corner guy in the fifth spot.
If Dickerson comes back then maybe he eats some of those starts in center, but if the team opts for a bigger bat instead then Gomez will almost certainly get more than 40 starts as the lone backup in center.
Now that's great tasting chicken!

Why would Cain get only 100 starts?
Is that typical of centerfielders, a worry about his durability making the jump from a AAA schedule to the full 162-game grind or the need to play Gomez to shut him up?
