Mexico:

• Josh Butler started for Hermosillo on Friday and pitched two innings, allowing three runs on five hits, walking none and striking out one. He has a 9.00 ERA with six walks and seven strikeouts in 16 innings.
• Luis Cruz made his winter league debut for Culiacan on Friday and played three games over the weekend, going 1-for-10 with a double and an RBI.

Puerto Rico:

• Martin Maldonado appeared in two games for Mayaguez, going 1-for-5. He's hitting .095/.095/.095 in nine games.
• Sergio Miranda appeared in two games for San Juan, going 1-for-8, he's hitting .233/.303/.267 in eight games.
• Darren Byrd started for Mayaguez on Friday and pitched five scoreless innings, allowing two hits, walking one and striking out two. He has yet to allow a run in nine innings as a starter.
• Efrain Nieves started for San Juan on Sunday and pitched four innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits, walking four and striking out none. He's posted a 1.88 ERA in 14.1 PWL innings, allowing nine hits and six walks while striking out eight.
