Vote in the BCB Arbitration Poll
The Brewers are coming up on the deadline to tender 2011 contracts to eight arbitration-eligible players: Todd Coffey, Prince Fielder, Carlos Gomez, Joe Inglett, Kameron Loe, Manny Parra, Carlos Villanueva and Rickie Weeks. I'd like to hear your thoughts on what they should do.
Follow the jump to vote in the poll.
I think the questions are relatively self-explanatory but I will add one note, just to be perfectly clear. In all cases, a yes vote means the team should tender a contract to the player for 2011. This does not mean they can't offer a long-term deal now or later. So if, for example, you think the Brewers should sign Rickie Weeks to a long term deal or trade him instead of taking him to arbitration, your answer is still yes.
On the other side, a "no" vote means the Brewers should non-tender said player, immediately making him a free agent.

Arbitration
I understand the point and all, but I guess I don’t like it much in general. The team’s job is to present the case that the player isn’t worth much money, so illustrates the bad points of the player to the arbiters. I’m sure that info gets back to the player and shoots down any feeling of repore a player might have with a club and makes them feel worthless.
So, whether Parra is a headcase or not, I don’t think this process suits him much.
Probably part of the reason why so many contracts are settled without going to a hearing
I never use a big word when a diminutive word would suffice.
