Schoeneweis signs with Red Sox
The Red Sox had Brian Shouse, who had a 0.96 ERA this spring, but they've released him and signed Alan Embree and Scott Schoeneweis in the last week.

If someone had played their cards right this spring
They could have built a bullpen of Shouse, Embree, Schoeneweis, Joe Beimel, Ron Mahay, Ray King and a token righty (David Weathers?). It probably would have been a disaster, but the concept of the reverse platoon bullpen would be interesting.
That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.
Too bad they weren't all invited to camp by the Cards
Tony La Russa could have used all of them to make a spring inning last 90 minutes.
Failure is just success rounded down.
so why isn't there a rec by my first comment:P

Much rather have Schoenweis than Shouse.
Not that I think either would contribute meaningfully in the big leagues.
