Brewers 1, Angels 1
This was a well pitched game all round. Chris Narveson got things started with another good outing: 3 IP, 3H, 1 BB, 5 K, 0 ER. In the third inning he loaded the bases with no outs but didn't allow a run, striking out Hideki Matsui for the final out. Manny Parra followed up Narveson with two clean innings of his own, only allowing one hit and one walk. LaTroy Hawkins, Claudio Vargas, and Mitch Stetter pitched the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings, respectively, with Vargas allowing the Angel's only run. Chris Smith pitched the final two innings without allowing a run.
The Brewers scored their only run in the first inning when Carlos Gomez scored on a Rickie Weeks ground rule double. Brett Lawrie started and collected a double in three at bats. Carlos Gomez, Alcides Escobar and George Kottaras each stole a base.
Join us again tomorrow as the Brewers take on the Cubs at Maryvale at 3:05.
Only 6 days until Opening Day!

Q: Did you ever scout Corey Hart? What seems to be holding him back from being a good hitter for AVG?
A: The slider away. And that facial hair.

Well, now that we’ve determined that Narveson is a spring stud…

We should start a Narve Dog fan club if he makes the rotation.
We could make shirts of Andy Bernard with Narveson’s head photoshopped onto it.

New BCB shirts?

First we need an agreement
Narvedog
OR
Narv-Dog
Applying Simpsons and Star Wars quotes to Brewers discussions since 2009.
This being Wisconsin we should go with the most familiar spelling
Navre-dog

I was thinking something like Andy in a sweater vest. Something Ivy League.
Just Narve’s head with a Brewers hat on.
