on my way to the tucson game

Anyone have a lineup for the crew there?

by Jeo on Mar 6, 2010 1:39 PM CST via mobile reply actions

Been searching for a while now, can't find one.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

just informed the van full of my family

That we won’t be seeing people they know. But we are in arizona so they are not too upset.

Twins fan sister and her bf are hoping to see gomez

I am hoping to see lawrie for the first time

by Jeo on Mar 6, 2010 1:46 PM CST via mobile up reply actions

Hmmm...

I guess it’s possible you’ll see Gomez, but it’s also possible he’ll get a day off after two straight days in.

As for Lawrie, since he’s a minor league camper I’d expect him to be in Phoenix.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

by Kyle Lobner on Mar 6, 2010 1:48 PM CST up reply actions

Hey look, a lineup!

Counsell 3B
Stern LF
Gomez CF
Gerut RF
Wilson 1B
Kottaras C
Inglett 2B
Narveson P

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

by Kyle Lobner on Mar 6, 2010 1:52 PM CST up reply actions

Actually

Luis Cruz is hitting eighth and playing shortstop. The Brewers aren’t really going with the eight-man lineup I posted above.

Since Counsell and Cruz are both in Tucson, that must mean Josh Prince will be backing up Escobar in Phoenix today.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

by Kyle Lobner on Mar 6, 2010 2:00 PM CST up reply actions

Pucetas

Spent 2009 in Fresno, where he posted a 5.04 ERA in 159 innings. Needless to say, he’s likely not the best pitcher the Giants could have sent to Maryvale.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

by Kyle Lobner on Mar 6, 2010 1:39 PM CST reply actions

Even so

I doubt Pucetas is in the top ten candidates for their rotation.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

by Kyle Lobner on Mar 6, 2010 1:45 PM CST up reply actions

from all indications

he is, but not by much. First four spots are taken (Lincecum, Cain, Zito, Sanchez) and the 5th is either Bumgarner or Wellemeyer, and then there’s Martinez, Pucetas, and some other guy who I forget. But, yeah, Wellemeyer will probably make the rotation before he does.

first spring training game

Great expirience. Was great to see lawrie and gogo for the first time. Cc as a god is always fun to watch. Really thinking about making an actual spring training trip in the next few years.

As far as game commentary, the rockies announcer never really told me who was pitching. Lawrie looked decent at 2nd and his bat is fun to watch (I am no scout or anything close) gogo is fast!(duh)

Ooh

Erik Komatsu takin’ it deep. It’s now 12-2 in the Maryvale.

You've got a couple screws missin' up in your toolbox, if you think that you'll stop this man from hittin' moonshots.

Cool

Hopefully he can stay healthy this year. He was one of the ones I was going to watch for last year, but I never got a chance to.

Oops

It was 12-1. On the bright side, that is also the final.

But it's 73 degrees and sunny, and they're playing ST baseball.

You’d probably hate it here.
