Wow, this is pretty surprising (if true)
I think I might prefer Hart, though an Edmonds/Dye platoon would sort of make sense. Eases the workload for both of them and would probably be pretty nice offensively if they were anywhere near their career RHP/LHP splits (defensively, on the other hand, ugh…)
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
Speaking of the Nationals
Did anyone sign Elijah Dukes? I know at the very least he’s got the reputation of a headcase, but I figured someone would take a flyer.
Failure is just success rounded down.
He remains without a team
Honestly, if the Brewers are trying to move Hart and replace him with another RF, I wouldn’t be opposed to giving Dukes a shot. I mean, I guess he’s got to have some serious off-the-field issues for teams to just outright release him, but he’s also only 25 and was worth 2.8 WAR in just 81 games in 2008.
Also: only four comments on this (and a few in the gamethread)? Isn’t this a fairly major story for the team?
Ryan Braun: He loves it.

it is surprising
that no one signed Dukes. It would seem to be a relatively low risk and low cost move.
Q: Did you ever scout Corey Hart? What seems to be holding him back from being a good hitter for AVG?
A: The slider away. And that facial hair.

I don't think
Melvin likes to sign the headcases, even if they’re talented.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
Are you sure?
I thought all the ball players are playing MLB 2K10 and trash talking each other… at least that’s what the commercials indicate.
