I know that the Brewers have the smallest TV contract in the MLB (or if not the smallest its almost the smallest). I was wondering if anyone knew how games on ESPN and FOX affect TV contracts? I would imagine that the Brewers would make more money on games aired on FOX or ESPN.
I know Milwaukee being a smaller market wont get aired on ESPN and FOX a whole lot. However, if they keep playing well consistantly then it would be reasonable to assume that they will be on ESPN and FOX more often and as a result perhaps it could help supliment their limited Media revenue.
I don't know if the difference between FOX and FSN games is even noticable. Does anyone else know anything more about how the nationally broadcasted games affect TV revenue? If the Brewers play well and are aired on national TV more often will they recive any noticably larger amount of TV revenue?
I just figured since the Brewers have the smallest TV contract that the difference between say 10 nationally televised games and 15 nationally televised games could actually help the team out financially where it would be absolutely irrelevant for a team like the Cubs.
