Yes it is..
Good I’m not the only one.
going to nerd out here, but today is the supposed day that DirecTV12 is supposed to start moving from 76degrees to 103degrees and they have to move the rest of the fleet around a bit to rearrange the sat clusters. I wonder if they are doing that now and causing some little hiccups.
But the good news is, once they are done, they should be able to pump out another 50 or so HD national channels
I've had to double the amount of tin foil in my tin foil hate to compensate
You’ll never control me DirecTV. I know your game and I’m one step ahead of you.
I prefer 720p
Smoother images on progressive scan vs. interlaced.

I waver.
720p for sports, 1080i else.

Really? Why's that?
Brewers Baseball and other assorted nonsense (mostly the assorted nonsense) at my blog, What's a Tararrel?
720p is smoother, like CM said
Sports just look better with the smoother picture, imo.
Pretty sure ESPN and MLB network both broadcast in 720p.
I'm not arguing, I'm just offering a relentlessly contrarian point of view.
I get that
I was under the impression that in general, 720p > 1080i (based on what I’ve heard, I haven’t done my own side-by-side). I’m just wondering why you’d prefer 1080i for other things.
Brewers Baseball and other assorted nonsense (mostly the assorted nonsense) at my blog, What's a Tararrel?
I think it's more p vs. i
The interlace makes for twitching images. Progressive doesn’t have the twitch problem.
Most cable boxes will allow you to pick your input as well
I can choose to not broadcast to my TV in 1080i with my MOXI, and I get everything then in 720p.

with 1080i when you're watching sports, its somewhat grainy, not as smooth picture quality
because its just vertical lines that alternate being lit up (or something like that) vs. 720p which is progressive scanned, which is both vertical and horizontal lines progressively lit up (or something like that)

that's the third time i recall escobar getting that called third strike
on a down and away pitch.

Gotta keep taking that though, that’s a ground out to first

why
I can’t feel bad for a guy who sucks
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."
True
but he’s not this bad.
My goodness.

as bill parcells said
you are what your record is, and his record says he sucks

Ok, then feel bad for him because he likes Rush

Why does nobody like Rush?
My goodness.
by BrewHaHeather on Apr 14, 2010 3:05 PM CDT up reply actions
Am I going to have to rewrite the Game Thread Guidelines to ban conversations on Rush?
Now that's great tasting chicken!
Yeah, that's how I feel about it
But I am a classic rock guy in general, so perhaps I’m biased.
And I don’t really know much Rush other than their hugely popular songs, so maybe I’m only thinking of the gems out of a mountain of suck.
Brewers Baseball and other assorted nonsense (mostly the assorted nonsense) at my blog, What's a Tararrel?
Stop it.
It’s an incredibly small sample size. No one is going to claim that kendall is actually good with his fast start and the opposite should be true for zaun.

Exactly
Brewers Baseball and other assorted nonsense (mostly the assorted nonsense) at my blog, What's a Tararrel?
So when should I start worrying?
if he gets 400 PAs, he’s already 0 for the first 5%.

If it's few enough plate appearances for Kendall to appear good
Then it’s too few to say Zaun sucks

Ehh
He’s a career .250/.343/.386 hitter. Is that enough to say he sucks?

is .000/.095/.000 acceptable?

So why didn't we re-sign Jason Kendall?
He’s a career .290/.369/.383 hitter.

Guys
You’re both missing a pretty good game here, while you debate the merits of Bad and Worse.

Oh I'm not missing it
I can type and watch.

Do you think any beat writers will ask about that?
It’s so weird. We noted it in the morning before gametime.
Hmm I will have to go check that out?
I think Witardo brings down the quality of analysis from them, since it reduces Haudicaurt’s airtime
I'll go ahead and say this now
I’m not sure letting Bush pitch the 6th is a good idea.
Now that's great tasting chicken!
He hasn't been pitching all that well
from the radio broadcast, sounds like there’s been lots of hard hit balls in the past inning or two.
I'm not arguing, I'm just offering a relentlessly contrarian point of view.
Buckle up, the 6th inning and Bush is going back out.
Probably want to position Braun a little deeper. Like out on the street.
When there is a scuffle in Ireland, there’s no need to specifically mention in the news story that alcohol was involved
he's only at 64 pitches
he may do alright

Nice, it does always seem like
that guy gets rocked after the 5th inning all the time. Lets hope its not the case.
"I held it like and egg...? I know he scrambled the son of a bitch!"
i thought parra was the one who struggled with the 6th
Dam, beating out these throws.

That 2-seam fastball from Bush has nice tail on it, and I think he needs to throw it more.

Except the 1B ump doesn't seem to like giving calls to the Brewers when they're close

looked close

Can't recall 2-0 ever being called a "blow out" (or anything similar) over here
Can only presume its American commentators trying to hype things up…
"I hope your name is Rick"
nice outing for bush
