SBNation Coverage
The Brewers are now 4-10 at Miller Park this season after losing their second straight to the Braves.
Dave Bush supplied another quality start tonight (his fourth of 2010), but the Brewers dropped to 1-6 in his starts this season. All told he pitched six innings and allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks, striking out three. He threw 102 pitches, 65 of which went for strikes.
Even if the Brewer bullpen had managed to hold the Braves at three runs, though, the Braunless offense wasn't up to the challenge. They had twelve baserunners (on six hits and six walks) against Tim Hudson but managed just one run off of him on an RBI single for Alcides Escobar. The Brewers scored two in the seventh to close the gap, but nothing more.
With Braun out of the lineup, Jim Edmonds batted third and played center field. He went 2-for-5 and had one of just three Brewer extra base hits, a double.
Now you'd better go get some sleep - these two teams will meet to finish the series in a little more than 12 hours.

Brewer Pitching
It does a struggling Braves Line Up Good. So much for the Braves having trouble hitting and scoring runs sigh
kumbaya my lord kumbaya :)
And the offense.
That was a miserable display of hitting with runners in scoring position.

One day we're the '27 Yankees the next we're the '62 Mets.
should’ve kept him in a utility roll

I think the 27 Yankees are all dead.

So one day we're the '27 Yankees in 1927
And the next day we’re the ’27 Yankees in 2010.

Brewers already have as many 17+ run games as the '27 Yankees did all season
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
Braves fan here
I thought you guys were going to hand us our ass. But you seem to play as well at home as we do on the road. You guys would be a lot happier if you had faced the guys we put on the mound against the Phillies. You missed out on Kakami. You shouldbe happy to be facing Derek Lowe tomorrow. Our 60 million dollar 6+ era ace. I’m not happy about facing Gallardo tomorrow. Obviosly I’m pulling for the sweep tomorrow. But I’ve always been fond of the brew crew and I wish you the best of luck the rest of the season. ( unless your playing the braves). Get those fn cardinals!!
Braves Win! Braves Win!
Loved their All or Nothing graphic.

Good lordie
It is sickening. Let the rollercoaster season continue. I just hope that we have more ups then down. Will the Crew ever have a decent pitching staff. Well at least before our power hitters are long gone

I think there's a decent chance some of the kids in the system will be pretty good...
… and they should hit the majors while Braun and McGehee are still in Brewer uniforms.

Calling for Macha's head
Listening to him on the post game made me want to snap. He can’t seem to answer a question strait and I hate him adding a Y to everyone’s name.
I haven’t given up on the pen yet. They’ve been pretty solid with the exceptions of our late inning guys. They’ve had two rough outings in a row, not time to head for the pill bottle and razor yet.
No, but most Brewers fans headed for the *other* bottle a long time ago.

Bush is certainly no Looper
Looper would be undefeated right now.
Give him an offspeed pitch down and in. He will swing and miss.
I believe that
Looper IS undefeated right now.
Get well soon Ueck

In my opinion
any Brewer fan who stayed to the end of this one deserves some tangible acknowledgement from the organization. Seat upgrade at the next game or the like.
For almost the last hour of the game, we were the only fans left in our section. It was so empty in the terrace that we could hear the Provus radio broadcast on the loudspeakers in the terrace concourse. Couldn’t tell what he was saying, but it was definitely the radio call.
The end of the game felt a little too much like 2003.
You've got a couple screws missin' up in your toolbox, if you think that you'll stop this man from hittin' moonshots.
