Brewers 6, Diamondbacks 1
W: Chris Narveson (3-0)
L: Ian Kennedy (2-2)
Hmm... apparently no one signed up to write the recap. Since I have a paper to write, we'll just stick to bullet points.
- The Narve-Dog pitched well (5.2 IP, 1 ER, 8 Ks) but ran into trouble in the 6th and was lifted in favor of...
- Todd Coffey, Mitch Stetter, Carlos Villanueva, and Jeff Suppan followed up Narveson and didn't allow a run between them (although Suppan almost blew it in the ninth).
- The score was pretty close for most of the game, but Casey McGehee gave the Brewers some much needed Badger Mutual Insurance Runs when he blased a three run homer in the eighth. Gregg Zaun followed up with solo shot of his own. Prince Fielder also homered.
The sweep helps the Brewers finish the road trip with a record of 6-4.
Its back to Miller Park tomorrow where the Crew hopes to continue their winning streak against the Braves. Join us tomorrow for a 7:10 start as Doug Davis leads the Brewers into battle against Tommy Hanson.

Rugrats
That was my favorite show when I was a kid, followed closely by Doug.
My goodness.

No way. Rugrats was always only OK.
Doug was awesome. Hey Arnold was better. Kenan & Kel was best. All That (before Nick Cannon showed up) was awesome, too. Also: Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Hey Dude, Wild ’n Crazy Kids, and Salute Your Shorts were fantastic as well.

Ah, good call.
Though I couldn’t watch that when I was younger. I literally had nightmares every day that I watched that show.

That show scared the bejesus out of me.
My goodness.

Noah, you need to keep another stat.
“Acceptable TWSS”. Then we can calculate a batting average for TWSS jokes.
Applying Simpsons and Star Wars quotes to Brewers discussions since 2009.
Fair enough.
You’re batting Doug Davis’ average thus far.

Actually, that would be interesting.
See who has a higher average at the end of the year, Doug Davis or the BCB community.

Unfortunatley the results are biased.
Because some people just keep saying it, even when it makes no sense, just to bug you.
At the end of the year you could compile one of those how to books, with screenshots.

Salute Your Shorts
was the best. But Hey Dude sucked. Everything else on your list was great. When I was 6, my life’s ambition was to be on Global Guts. Or Legends of the Hidden Temple (but I hated Kirk Fogg, we was such a douche). Or Wild and Crazy Kids. Or Double Dare. Or What Would You Do. Or Figure It Out.
My goodness.

Me too! On one of my cereal boxes, there was a thing you could fill out to try to get on Guts.
So I did, and I sent it in. Never heard back from them though. I’m still holding out hope…

Clarissa Explains it All was another one I forgot.
I’m not sure if, as a guy, I was supposed to enjoy that show as much as I did.

I hated Clarissa.
That show was just not funny.

Pff, whatever.
I barely remember it, but I remember it was pretty good.

I also can barely remember it.
I just remember that I hated it.

Another classic
Rocko’s Modern Life was another favorite of mine.

My age is showing....
but does anyone else remember “You Can’t Do That on Television”? Best Nickelodeon show ever.
Personally, I think we got hosed on that one! - Harry Doyle
I think my age is the one showing here; but I never watched any of those shows…
(might have something to do with the fact that we didnt have cable)

If Chipper and Heyward are out of the lineup again, the Brewers won’t have too much to worry about.

Going to be my first (and probably only) Brewer game this year
I’m nervous about the probables, but Atlanta has been so bad offensively I gotta believe we’ve got a really good shot at a win.
Towlieppan: "You wanna throw high?"
So Narv-Dog signed below the O....
and his high school teacher signed by the G, just to make it authentic

We should get a group of Brew Crew Ballers to all go to a home game that Narveson is
starting in, buy tickets as a group and everyone bring home made Narv Dog gear!!!
We could start a Wolf pack type thing for Narveson!!!
Won't the Sons of Clung start a lawsuit if you do that?

I would just like to point out that the 6 pack of Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy is down to 2 beers.
Yet since I purchased that pack the Brewers are 5-1. On the season when I have Leinenkugel’s summer shandy in my fridge the Brewers record is 8-1.
