Graph of Sadness and Star of the Game Voting
SBNation Coverage
Following tonight's loss, the Brewers are on pace to go 65-97, and it's possible they'll find 97 different ways to lose.
Tonight, Dave Bush gave up his patented big inning in the first, allowing three earned runs as the Marlins hit for the cycle in the inning. After that, though, he only allowed three more hits while completing six for his sixth quality start of the season. Those innings gave the Brewers enough time to get back into the game with home runs from Prince Fielder and Corey Hart in a three run seventh.
Unfortunately, that was as close as the Brewers would get. Trevor Hoffman entered a tie game in the seventh and allowed three hits on three runs and two walks. The Brewers scored a run in the eighth and brought Prince Fielder to the plate as the potential tying run with two outs in the ninth, but Fielder grounded out to first to end the game.
The Brewers are now 2-9 when Dave Bush starts.

boras
has to enjoy watching his prized FA set a pace of 60 rbi’s for the season.
Wonder if Braun and Yovanni are starting to regret signing those contracts, cuz its gonna be awhile before this team is competing for division, league and WS championships
time for another team meeting
Awhile = a couple seasons?
Ryan Braun: He loves it.

If everything works out right
If they keep developing and signing pitchers like they have the last couple years, good luck with that.
Failure is just success rounded down.
"If everything works out right"
More like “if everything isn’t an inexplicable and unforeseeable disaster”
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
How so?
Who’s going to pitch in a couple years? The guys currently drawing raves are in Appleton, so they’ll be ready, when, 2013-14 even if they all manage to avoid injury and don’t have other hiccups along the way?
Failure is just success rounded down.
I think someday we will look back
And be able to laugh about how bad this pitching staff is. Now however …pass me another

Don't you mean the 2 pitching staffs
Back-to-back years when all of the other GMs are sniggering behind Melvin’s back. All the while, he thought it was because of his moustache.
games like this make me so happy i live in a city with 5+ drive-thru liquor stores.

its soo weird
How something (the Brewers) can make us so depressed and sad ( yes it makes me sad watching them fucking suck) when really it has no effect on our daily lives. Like if the brewers lose the rest of our games, our daily lives will still remain the same, world will not stop….. but it still sucks to say the least
My wife just told me that tomorrow is National Dinosaur Day
So, happy D-Day Hoffman

"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."
Even better
I’m looking forward to it already.
My goodness.

Hoffman is a future Hall of Famer.
I, for one, feel privileged to witness this particular trainwreck. Who cares if it’s costing us wins? It’s like watching Jesus fall off a skateboard. Are you gonna tell Jesus he can’t skateboard?
Also, Steve Garrison.

well what if we do not believe in Jesus
but that is ok I don’t believe in Hoffman anymore either ;)

How good is Dan Haren?
Snyder just bunted the runner over to 2nd so that Haren could drive him in. Haren flew out to center, so it didn’t work, but Haren’s OPS is .971

when the bullpen takes us out of a game
yeah…that’s more frustrating than the starter coughing up early runs.
