Cardinals sign Jeff Suppan
He's expected to join the team this weekend.
Hopefully he'll appear in every Brewers-Cardinals game the rest of the way.

I'm thinking Suppan would be the ultimate test for him.
You trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?
I said it somewhere else
But now he’ll go 7-2 with a 4.20 ERA over the rest of the season.
Failure is just success rounded down.
4.20 ERA
Is that a Jeffress reference?
Pujols…he’s actually underrated

Hilarious!

As if 200 grand could possibly reverse the trauma we have all endured over the last 3 years.

Isn't it closer to 400?
EIther way it is Chris Smith’s salary.

The minimum is $400k for the year
But it’s pro-rated, so the Cardinals will pay Suppan only about 2/3 that.
Failure is just success rounded down.
HILARIOUS!

If Suppan does well
Does it mean our pitching coach sucks, our defense sucks, or Jeff Suppan got Mark McGuire’s locker?
Yes.

I'm going to pick MM's locker.
It also means he ate some Wheaties Steroids Fuel.

I don't usually go over to VEB
But it’s kind of nice to see another team’s fans upset over Suppan

I'm so glad you posted this
It made me smile. If the Reds manage to trip up like their history dictates they will, the Brewers might now have a chance if they can get to 80 wins!
I wish they all could be Gallardo days

I thought
the Cards were looking to add pitching not fuel to the fire.

When I saw the deadline
I just assumed it was the ceremonial one-day contract to retire with the team. Wowzers.

So his first starting opportunity would be Tuesday
Facing the offensive juggernaut that is Seattle. Chances look slightly better for a shutout.
Failure is just success rounded down.
Let me remind you of a little number
Jeff Suppan had 11 swings and misses on fastballs last year.
And Seattle is fast.

Does this mean the Brewers are off the hook for his option next year?
