The Brewers and Cubs traded leads and ties all day with a combination of good bats and bad defense on both sides, leading to a 10th inning in which Bob Howry walked Carlos Gomez to lead off. Gomez, as he does, watched the count and ran on a 2-0 pitch (as he said) expecting Craig Counsell to attempt to bunt. Gomez successfully stole 2nd and headed for 3rd on the Counsell bunt. Xavier Nady's throw to 3rd missed and Gomez scored. Gomez is really, really fast. Oh, and the Brewers won this series. Can't forget that.
